On July 9th 2019, an article was published in the opinion section of all three editions of a major Mexican newspaper (Reforma, El Norte and Mural, which serve the Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey areas) where the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), was recommended to study Adizes.
“The Leaders of the AMLO Government need to take an intensive course in Organizational Development and if we were their advisors, we would probably say that they should take the courses of the Adizes Institute”.
“This government that we have had for six and a half months has proposed, or at least that is what we have been told, to change Mexico (transform it), but -and in everything there is a but- creating change is a science, it is not just to "put more salsa on my tacos".
That is what Dr. Adizes specializes in, and his teachings on this subject, are legendary. He has transformed huge companies, such as Bank of America, and also small and medium companies (at least a dozen in Mexico); it is impossible to summarize in this space what this man has generated in wisdom regarding how to move large organizations, which is the same as saying large bureaucracies, as is, definitely, the Government of Mexico.”
The article was written under a pseudonym and thus anonymously... It has been speculated that the articles were written by the political opposition of the current administration as a type of critique.
“Regardless of the motivation for the article, we are very grateful to be mentioned in the media and are happy to help all leaders achieve higher levels of success, regardless of political affiliation,” says Humberto Padilla, Managing Director of Adizes Monterrey and Professional Director of the Adizes Institute.
